From unclear ideasto useful digital products.

I’m Alhaji C.M. Kallon, a design engineer in Sierra Leone. I help founders, businesses and organisations discover the right problem, design a clear experience and build working digital products.

What I do

Design engineering, from problem discovery to working software.

I work with founders, businesses and organisations to understand users, decide what to build, design accessible experiences and develop useful digital products. I’m based in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Have an idea but no clear brief?

Start with the problem, the people affected and the assumptions worth testing before building.

How I work

From the right question. To a product people can use.

I work across the decisions that shape a product: what problem matters, what the first version needs to do, how people will use it, and how to build it reliably.

Problem discovery

Understand the people, context, and current workarounds before deciding what deserves to be solved.

Product thinking

Turn a broad idea into a clearer value proposition, surface risky assumptions, and define a useful first version.

Experience design

Shape the information, flows, and interfaces around what people need to understand and do.

Engineering

Build and improve the product with attention to usability, performance, reliability, and the constraints the team actually has.

The path so far

2020
01

Choosing a direction

After exploring Civil Engineering and Computer Science, I chose to pursue the field that best matched my interest in how systems work and how ideas become real.

2022
02

Building foundations

Started a Computer Science programme at Central University Sierra Leone and helped fellow students work through projects and core concepts.

2024
03

A different learning path

Financial pressure and personal decisions led me to leave university and continue learning independently through focused study and practical work.

2026
04

Building for real use

Focused on taking projects from early ideas through product decisions, design, implementation, and practical use.

Start where you are

What are you working through?

Whether you have an early idea, want to see how I work, or are here to learn, start with the path that fits.

Clarify a product idea

For an idea that needs a sharper problem, a clearer value proposition, or a sensible first version.

Discuss your idea

Explore the work

Explore the problem, decisions, and implementation behind real projects.
